Chuck's Estate was in Bear Valley Springs, California, a 25,000-acre gated community, which has a nine-hole golf course and a stocked lake. The ranch was built on 8 1/2-acres and had a 3,000-square-foot ranch house, a guest/caretaker cottage that was built to almost resemble the house on the TV show, The Rifleman. The interior of the guest house, however was completely different from the show and the ceiling was designed with old wood beams that were obtained from an old railway yard.
The ranch also had a barn with three stables that could hold 18 tons of hay and had three paddocks, a 14,000 square feet stud corral, a tack room and a multi-vehicle garage/workshop. Chuck was rebuilding the fence around his property using telephone poles. It took him more than 9 years to complete the fence with his sons. Chuck passed away just three months after it was completed. Chuck's Estate items were auctioned off in two sessions, July 23rd and 24th, 1994.
